July 2023: Port Williams Park

It was a beautiful morning in Port Williams Park! ☀😎 Thanks to everyone who came out and were so kind & gentle with my animals. 😊 It was wonderful to see some familiar faces from birthday parties and school visits, and we met some wonderful new folks as well! People often come expecting a spectacle, but it’s never my goal to shock you with “weird reptiles.” Rather, I want you to fall in love with Lucy the python! 🥰 As a result, my events are quite casual, organically learning about the snakes you’re cuddling with! 🤗🐍

I can (and do) babble snake facts for hours, but it’s the memories you make with my pets that last. My hope is that, by teaching people to love one of nature’s most reviled creatures, it will fuel a passion for the entire natural world, and I’m so thankful and proud of my community for being so open to these new experiences. The initial sensation of their scales and movement can take some getting used to, but you soon discover just how gentle, loveable, curious and utterly comical these shy little animals can be!

Thank you to everyone for your kindness and affection for my babies. I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see your affection for Alice, or giggling at Robert’s shenanigans. ❤ Huge thanks to Port Williams Recreation for inviting us! Port Williams Park is one of the best kept secrets in the Annapolis Valley, so don’t tell anybody that I told you. 😉
