A great time in Three Mile Plains this afternoon with a small group of friends & family, celebrating the belated birthday of Branden! Hurricane Fiona postponed us, then the poor lad broke some bones, but they still didn’t stop us from having lots of fun with snakes!
Our host, Elaine, is an old friend who suffers ophidiophobia and she took a HUGE step in touching a snake… but then my jaw hit the floor when she decided to hold Wilson the ball python! After seeing her amazing courage, EVERYONE needed to have a try!
This outing also featured a surprise guest appearance by my baby Honduran milksnake, Dave! He’s too young to be handled by children yet, but it was a treat to show off his brilliant colour.
Everyone was so gentle & considerate with the snakes, and I think we may even have some future snake-whisperers in this bunch. Thank you SO MUCH for the invitation! The opportunity to share my love for these creatures with you mean everything to me.
