We had a blast at École du Grand-Portage today, visiting the grade 4 class of birthday boy, Lochlan! 🥳 His family wanted to share the experience with his whole class, and it worked well within the curriculum, so win-win!
Just a few pics, for privacy, but we had a very courageous group! Several were pretty nervous, but everyone seemed to find just the right snake to win them over! Some couldn’t resist the adorability Katie, the Kenyan sand boa, while others couldn’t get enough of Robert, the corn snake’s antics! They were all loathe to say goodbye to their favourites but unanimously agreed that snakes are awesome!
Thanks you so much for inviting us! Hopefully we’ll get to visit more Nova Scotia schools this year! These opportunities truly mean the world to me! I believe that teaching children to love one of nature’s most reviled & feared creatures can spark a passion for the entire natural world… and I believe it’s THOSE kids who will make a future for us all. 🌍 ❤🙏
