We had a very special event over the weekend, celebrating the birthday of our beloved Sara, one of my trusted volunteers. It was a very intimate gathering of a few friends but we tried our best to spoil Sara with snakes! Dinah-Mite Pythons sent some of her babies along, including a particularly spicy boa for Sara who shares my affection for sassy snakes. 
It’s always a joy to watch Sara work, sharing her love for these animals with her friends, including her partner, who warmed my adorable juvenile corn who happens to be Sara’s “namesnake.” 
All of my volunteers were very new to snakes, but they’ve all proven to be amazing educators and bridge-builders for so many people. I know Kate-Lynn and young Sarah were very happy to be able to sit and spend quality time with the longbabies in a smaller group.
