What a delightful way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon… chilling in the backyard with SNAKES! 
My buddy Alex (the red tongue) is an old friend, so he knows several of my animals very well, but it was a joy to share a few new arrivals & some old favourites with his friends for his birthday again this year. 
Some of the kids were pretty nervous & unsure at first, which is a perfectly healthy response to a strange, new animal, but once they got past the “weirdness” of a snake’s form, they quickly saw that they’re just shy little animals… and soon fell in love. 
Kids who were very tentative about even touching the snakes were soon relaxing in the afternoon sun with them and asking questions about how to get their own. Even grandmothers couldn’t resist the charms of Wilson the gentle ball python. 
I can think of no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Thank you for inviting us Annie!
